AirMars: Lady Ada's Attack

A high-altitude, low-gravity coop game for up to four players.  Fun to use as a speed run.

Theme:

An airship on Mars? That seems both antiquated and futuristic!  

I tried to layer in a bit of the British-Empire-goes-to-Mars in both the narration and in the blimp itself.  While it was originally an Epic asset, I modelled new tail fins (they move with the ships motion), all the floor segments, the gas bags, and some trim segments in Maya.  I was inspired by a 'below deck' tour of the Queen Mary that I took a while back.

All the remainder of the map, the sky, ground, buildings, and tethered paraglider were modeled by me in Maya.

The airship turns, climbs and descends randomly, but I tried to make the effect subtle enough to not invoke seasickness in players.

I also included a real-time commander "Lt. Redfin" who pops up in the corner and gives you advice from time to time.

Story:

The Martian airship 'Lady Ada' has fallen into the hands of hijackers. Engage in a skirmish within Mars' lighter gravitational field, armed with advanced weaponry scavenged from crates onboard. Be aware of a satellite dish that can summon robotic reinforcements at your foes' behest.

Play Tips:

In Fortnite select a custom map code and enter 2734-8733-4855.  When the game starts, slide down the grind line and kill the hijackers.  Taking down the satellite disk (optionally with an air strike) within the first minute helps as it prevents robot reinforcements.  Looting the lower decks for high-level weapons is also an option.   The bots swarm the rear deck at first, but quickly cover all entrances.
